Onsite Extravaganza 2023 Frequently Asked Questions

Joining us onsite in Anaheim? Here are some answers to frequently asked questions.

You can view the Extravaganza FAQ here.

Can I volunteer to help at the Extravaganza?

Yes! This event can't happen without volunteers like you. We would love to have you use your gifts at the event. Typically in the months leading into the event, a needs list is published. When the needs have been compiled the sign up will be placed online.

What airport should I fly into?

The closest airport to the hotel is John Wayne International (SNA). It's a 13-mile drive from the airport to the hotel.

Los Angeles International (LAX) is about 35 miles away. Traffic in LA can be significant. LAX may be less expensive, but the shuttle costs and time will be more.

We have once again partnered with Delta for discounted fares.

How do I get from the airport to the hotel in Anaheim?

Lyft and Uber provide pick-up services at the airports.

At John Wayne International Airport, drivers are allowed to pick-up passengers on the top level of parking structures A2 and B2, and in the Terminal C parking structure on the upper level next to the ticketing area. Make your request in the app once you're at the pick-up location. Always confirm that you are getting in the correct vehicle with the designated driver shown on the app. The fare should be approximately $21-$26 from John Wayne International to the Hyatt.

Taxis are available and cost about $47.

At LAX, drivers pick up in different areas near each terminal. After getting off your flight, follow signs that read, "TNC / Rideshares" or "Ride Service Pickup". Make sure you indicate in your app which pickup station you are located at, so your driver can find you. The fare should be approximately $52-$66 from LAX to the Hyatt.

Taxis are also available and cost about $110.

How do I make my hotel reservation?

  2. Pay online by logging in to your network account.

Is there parking at the Hilton, and what does it cost?

There is self-parking for $21/night with in-and-out privileges.

What are the receptions, and do I need an invitation?

There are receptions listed on the schedule.

Some of the receptions are marked "closed" and are by invitation only. Receptions that are not labeled this way are open to all Extravaganza participants.

What if I have questions during the event? Where should I get answers?

If you have questions during the Extravaganza, please look for the Hospitality Table. Our Hospitality Team will be stationed there to answer questions and to help you out. Or, just find someone who is wearing a Network name tag...they'll be glad to help you!

What happens if my roommate doesn't show up?

The individual staying in the room is then responsible for the full cost of the room.

What is the difference between an Intensive Care Course and an Early Bird Workshop?

Intensive Care Courses are pre-events that focus on a single subject, in-depth for 10-12 contact hours. There is an extra cost for participating in the Intensive Care Courses.

Early Bird Workshops are available for Extravaganza participants who arrive at the event early on Friday and are looking for some additional learning experiences. There is no additional cost for Early Bird Workshops.

What is the sales tax rate for the hotel rooms?

The sales tax rate for hotels in Anaheim is 14% state and local taxes.

What is your refund policy?

You can check out our refund and cancellation policy here.

What's the weather like in Anaheim at Extravaganza time?

We're in California! Daily high temperatures in late January and early February are around 71°F, with a record high of 95°F. Daily low temperatures are around 48°F. That's shorts weather in the Twin Cities and jacket weather if you are from LA.
