Salary Survey 2022

The ELCA Youth Ministry Network salary survey is an annual survey given online every year.

The survey is intended to be a tool for congregations and individuals to use in their ministry.

Data in the salary survey is sliced and diced by:
  • Size of congregation
  • Education level
  • Region of the country
  • Gender
  • ELCA roster status
  • Other categories

The survey is not intended to be perceived as guidelines.  Guidelines are very context-sensitive, and we cannot pretend to know all of the local and congregational factors that play into determining salary and benefits.

However, we do strongly advocate for a fair living wage for all those who serve the church.
