The Luther500 Festival!

The Luther 500 Festival is a seven-day cultural immersion experience that brings the Reformation to life as participants serve, learn, and celebrate in the places where Martin Luther did the same 500 years ago. This pilgrimage to Germany will revitalize youth groups, congregations, and personal faith journeys as participants come face to face with the breadth and importance of the Reformation, make new friends, connect with their heritage, and experience first hand how Church history can be a whole lot of fun. You can relax and enjoy Europe while becoming something of an expert on the sites and experiences of the Reformation by spending a week at the Luther500 Festival.

1)  May 29 - June 4, 2017
2)  June 19 - 24, 2017

The Luther500 Festival is an inter-generational experience.  All are welcome.  There is plenty for everyone. The days are framed by brief morning and evening prayer at a historic churches.  Throughout the days, participants can choose from a variety of Interest Centers and day trips.  Interest Centers include recreation, service, history, art, and education at key Luther sites, museums, and the local area of Wittenberg.  Day trips include The Wartburg Castle, Eisleben, Leipzig, Torgau,  Erfurt, and Berlin.  Many travelers will choose to add days to the beginning or the end of the Festival week to explore more of Germany or Europe.

The May trip begins the day after the conclusion of the Kirchentag 2017 in Berlin.  Come early for the Kirchentag and then stay to go deeper into the Reformation with the Luther500 Festival experience.
